Lazy day?

Today i'm going to try and straighten up some of my craft things. I'm getting so i can't find a thing! LOL. Normal for a crafter? Thought i'd come in and show a couple more dotee dolls i made yesterday. What do you think? They are made from things sent to me in a swap and i wanted to show what i made. =) There are two. They are for swap. =)

Today i'm having a little trouble being grandma. My oldest (21 in April) granddaughter is going to move out of her dads home into her boyfriends friends trailer. I'm not real happy about this as she is due in April and i think she should wait until the baby is born to move. It's not my decision tho. I'm afraid she'll do it then he will not be nice with no one watching. If she leaves her dads home he will not let her come back. What do you think? Should i just forget it? After all, she is grown up she says. I've been up all night worrying about it. If i knew more about him i guess it wouldn't be so bad.

Well i guess i'd better get to that room! Need to change the bed too while i'm at it. LOL. I wish only the best for you all. Thanks for being here. I'll be having a dotee to give away in April for some lucky person. I'll let you know more soon. HUGS

Tried a new technique

Hello all. I just tried a new technique and i wanted to share it. It's a leather look. I got it in a newsgroup i'm in. It's a leather look paper. I will find the link today and get it in here. It was really fun. I did it in dark brown,light brown, and gold. I haven't used it yet but think i will make part of it into 3 atc backs for a JAM i'm in. I decided i needed to learn to make better backgrounds if i wanted to make some ATCs. Besides, it's much more fun to learn new things.

I must say i enjoy making my dotee dolls much more than anything tho. I think i'm better at that. I'll be posting some that are up for trade here this week.

Not a lot going on today. Same old grind...washing clothes, dishes(ick), that sort of thing. I tend to let things go so i can craft. =) Do you do that? I'll bet you do!!

Well i'm going to go do those dreary everyday, must be done things...Smile, it increases your face value. HUGS

Here i am again. I have been sick with bronchitis for over a week and then dear hubby got it! Taking care of him has been a job to say the least. =) You know how men can be! LOL. He went back to work last night, poor thing. He could have used a couple more days but he made it. He's in sleeping now so i thought i'd give this another try.

The photos are of a dotee i just made for 2 swap on Swap-bot. I quite like them. =) I hope my partners will like them too. I have to make a few more so this won't be real long. Maybe, LOL.

Yesterday it was in the high 60s here! It was so beautiful! I went down by the river and fed the white seagulls some tiny pieces of bread. They loved it and i loved watching them soar down to get it. I call the river "my ocean" as that's all i have for an ocean...just dirty, muddy water. I'd love to have somewhere to go where it's clean and i could pick up pretty shells and maybe some of those beautiful seaglass hearts i've seen online. The blues and greens of those are much more appealing than our mud colored. I must say tho that i did find a tiny piece of a geode down there. It is gorgeous. Maybe i will get a photo of it so you can see. I'm so very glad to see spring on the way!

I have been trying to make me a journal to put into my purse but just can't get what i want! I hate wasting my supplies. I don't have that many! LOL. I found a couple on etsy and was even willing to pay the money to buy it but they only take Paypal or charge or POSTAL money orders! Bah! I don't do credit....ever! I don't get postal money orders because of the expense. I only pay 25cents for my money order and have never had anyone couldn't cash them. I guess it's not only my loss but the sellers too! I found a really nice yellow leather cover with handmade papers too. Oh well, enough on that...i'll just keep trying. =)

I'm rather happy today as hubby says we should be able to go to Ohio for a couple of days to see our friends and then onto the Smokie Mountains! I so love those mountains! If we could figure out how, we'd live there. We used to go every year, in fact we got married there. =) We haven't gotten to go back for about 5 or 6 years. It's been hard for us like it has for everyone else. If we get to go i will take LOTS of photos. Just pray nothing happens to stop us from going! Our friend Lonnie will meet us in Pigeon Forge. He's the one who lost his wife in June...my best friend. I can't wait to see him and the pups. I miss them more than anyone knows! It's not so much fun without your friend.
